Re: More composers Mangalam Ganapathi

I have the permission to upload her songs with a view to propagate her compositions
Quote Dear Sir,

Thank you for expressing your interests in Smt. Mangalam Ganapthy's
compositions and requesting permission to upload songs on your web site.

We would be happy to propagate her compositions through suitable available
medium and hence do not have any reservations in allowing that.

We would, however, be very grateful if you could correctly ackowledge the
source of the compostion by crediting Smt. Mangalam Ganapathy and
providing a link to our site: www.mangalamganapathy.com.

Warm regards,
D. Subramanian Un quote

The correct place for this seems to be MP Periasamy Throon's thread.
Can be posted there in.

There is another (in my opinion)unrecognised commposer, late sri P.K Rajaopala Iyer, a student of Sri tiger Varadachariar who not only created two new ragas Ananda valli an karpoora barani. but also created numerous varnams and keerthnas, including a string of songs totalling 65 on the 65 th birthday of Pooja sri Chandrasekarendra Sarasathi and rendered them in his presence inKanchipuram along with his students

Greetings, rasikas. Can I request the lyrics of Dr. V. V. Srivatsa's Gowrimanohari kriti "Kousaleya"? I can decode most but not all words from this rendition by Sri Vijay Siva. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pvowJBP8R4)
Thanks in advance.

Sri Lakshman - thank you so much. As always, you are the ever-helpful encyclopedia! Look forward to a productive weekend, studying this beautiful kriti in a major raga with inexplicably not too many major krithis in circulation.

In the pallavi, should it not be jaladhi taraNA and not dharaNA?
Who is the enemy of the son of atri (atri putra ari) referred to here?

In the booklet of songs By Dr.Srivatsa titled Sri Sutanjali it is printed as dharaNa. It could be a typo.

Sri Lakshman, while I learned this krithi, I edited the words slightly per what vidvans have sung. Please review, and other rasikas may be able to fine-tune further. Regards.

In the anupallavi, shouldn't it be adhOkshaja (meaning vishNu/kRshNa), and not agOkshaja. Not sure what agokshaja means....
