Recently, I heard the foll (Kannada ?) song in a Kutcheri - here are the approx words - from what I could gather while listening to the live Kutcheri :

I am not sure if the Ragam was :
Yaman (Hindustani style - like in Hindi Films ?)

Could someone pl send me the complete, exact Lyrics, Ragam, Talam and Composer info of this song. Thanks.

PS 1 : Consider Ashtabharan'a - the " n' " with a dash : ie, wrt the "2nd n" in Sanskrit :
= 8 Abharanas (8 jewels, or 8 embellishments)
In English Transliteration, often it is referred to by "Capital N", I guess.
Here, I have referred to the "2nd n" as " n' " with a dash.

PS 2 : A question mark : "?" immediately following the Sahityam Text (ie, without any space in between) implies that I am NOT sure of the word uttered / sung. For eg : "Vadavano?" above.

It is very difficult to locate a song if the correct beginning words are not available. Sometimes if the raga is known or the composer is known it makes things a little easier.

(How) can I send you a Video or Audio clip of this song ?

I have a Video Clip of this song {and an extracted Audio file from the Video}.

The extracted Audio file is of size = 2 MB, and the original recorded Video *.mov of size = 49 MB (if necessary, I can use a compression S/w to convert this mov to mpeg4 file of roughly 15 MB - this will of course cause a slight reduction in resolution, but is still quite good enough).

Pl let me know if / how we can upload a file while posting / replying to messages in this forum.

Also, the number and size limit of such attachments.

Often, specially while requesting for the exact lyrics of a song which we might have heard in a live kutcheri, it would be very useful if we could upload the recorded audio clip of the song (or even the recorded video clip of a part of the song - needs larger size limit !).

This upload feature will also be useful if we have to send across a Sketch or a Diagram depicting for eg, a sketch of the 22 Shrutis' Freq values, or the tuning sequence of the strings of a Violin or a Veena etc.

Perhaps, the singer ought to have sung it as ?? :

and then the :

But, listening to the singer (in the Audio Clip), one gets to listen to it as :
Tamuyurutti Krishna
{I have tried listening to the Audio clip a number of times !}
