I worship the supreme ruler of time of this universe, of terrible form, the (primordial?) sound, of beautiful lotus-face.
(I worship) he who has (red) flame-like hair, whose vehicle is a dog, who is merciful, who holds a trident, skull, noose, drum and lotus in his hand
whose body glows like a fire, naked, whose gaze is auspicious, who is a trove of gold for his devotees, who is the protector of land (I didn't hear this line in Sri K.V.Narayanaswamy's rendition of this song)
(I worship) the lord of various classes of ghosts and spirits, the Supreme Being, the King
the remover of past, future, and present sins, fear, and sorrow, the powerful one
the bearer of the (cold-rayed) moon on his head, Siva, the resident of the hall of wisdom in the city of Chidambaram
whose pair of feet shine by giving all the wishes (one thinks of)
___ who is fire-eyed, who is with trident, skull, drum and noose
naked, whose vehicle is a dog, who is adorned by an anklet, ___, who wears a snake as a chain

Is this kRti on dattAtrEya? The reference to a dog is peculiar. Unless Suna also means a bull?

Apparently, the bhairava form of Lord Shiva has a dog as his mount (courtesy: Wikipedia(!))

OOC, wouldn't someone in karṇāṭaka associate this description with dattātrēya? IIRC, there is a purāṇic story of how this diety, on whose posterior stood a canine, conferred boons of immortality on one King arjuna, whose pride later was humbled by śiva. As well, does the same trimūrti form correspond to the one in Kerala, which is known as pūrṇatrayīśvara?
