toNDar anju kaLirum aDakki surum pAr malar-
inDai kaTTi vazhipADu seyyum iDam enparAl
vaNdu pADa mayil Ala mAnkanRu tuLLa vari-
keNDai pAya sunai nIla moTTalarum kEdAramE

It is said (enbar) that the temple at kEdar is a place (kEdaramE) where the devotees (toNDar) who control (aDakki) the five senses (anju kaLiRu) worship (vazhipADu seyyum) Lord Shiva by offering garlands made (iNDai katti) of Ar / Shivamalli flowers (Ar malar) with honey bees (surumbu) humming around;
and where
bees (vaNDu) hum (pADa), peacocks (mayil) dance (Ala), fawns (mAnkanRu) frolic (tuLLa), striped carps (vari-keNDai) leap (pAya), and the buds (moTTu) of the blue flower (nIlam) in the mountain spring (shunai) blossom (alarum).
Note: A minor correction in the lyrics: "surumbAr" instead of "surum pAr"
