Implied philosophical meanings

Post by Sundara Rajan »

This question might have been answered earlier. If so please give reference to it.
1. Kudambai sithar's "vetta veLi thanai meyyenripporku-----thEngaippAl Ethukkadi?" especially the references to mAngAippAl versus thEngAippAl

2.NandavanathilOr Andi avan nAlAru mAdamAI kuyavani vEndi---pOttudaithAndi
Vaguely, the second one refers to the human body.
Thank you

mAngaippAl refers to ganja juice.
It has other names, viz. uccippAl, somAcalam, madhiyamudu, aruLamudu, kaRavAppAl, kAyAppAl, etc.

"when there is ganja juice, there is no need for honey, fruits and milk."

1) Discussed in the earlier post.

2) "NandavanattilOr AnDi ..."
On death, the Atma loses the body and it has nothing to claim as its own - it becomes an 'Andi'. After ten months of prayer, it again gets a body. But, instead of using the body for doing good things, it engages itself into various useless activities. In the end, it once again loses its body.

Thank you very much, P. Bala.
I had guessed the second one, but the last line of the first one was more difficult to comprehend."

This is completely unexpected ! I had imagined a more philosophical opposite meaning, similar to Thyagaraja's " Why seek GangasAgara (Toddy), when you have well condensed milk at hand ? " in his Chakkani rAja mArgamu in karaharapriya.
