MS.Lakshmi Devanth has brought out a pictorial biography of one of the ICONS of Carnatic Music Ganakaladhara Sri Madurai Mani
Iyer in the series which includes Bharat Rathna the great MS AMMA and the most handsome and genius Sri GNB who were the idols many Carnatic hardcore rasikas.This book on MMI by Laksmi was released by one of the fine Vocalists Sri Balmurlai Krishna as part of the MMI Centenary Celebrations of Bharath Sangit Utsav at Sathguru Gnaanandnda Hall @Narada Gana Sabha Hall on the 2nd November 2012 which happens to be MMIs birth star ROHINI>The Picturesque book first copy was fittingly received by Sri TV Sankarnarayanan prime disciciple and also nephew of MMI.
Lakshmi has brought out a unique book and the efforts she has taken to prepare the small book of 24 pages is commendable one.Lakshmi took ALL care to see that even the minute detail is taken care of and brought out perhaps an authentic and colourful biography of the great MMI.TVS of course has guided Lakshmi with his own details and helped her inn spite of his very busy schdules.I appeal to ALL MADDYS OF MMI TO own a copy and enjoy reading this wonderful book!Entitled as JOY OF SONG this book is bound to bring happiness to ALL who possess it.Kudos to Lakshmi Devnath!
