A brilliant out of the world concert by Nithyashree at Raja annamalAi mandram for Tamil isai sangam .With her voice back to vintage standard she was outstanding in 3 hour concert full of rare n popular songs.

Beautiful asaveri shanmukhapria kambodi . Each song was a gem n raised goosebumps . All songs were rendered with emotion Bhakti n feelings.

She Sang all songs with out referring to any note or iPad straight from heart. Melodious powerful it was an awesome concert.
Kolaru thirupathigam and thirupugazh was rendered wonderfully with clear diction n words were just flowing like a batsman hitting sixer in each ball!

Mak was ably following her.

A normally sedate Sivakumar was energetic and in form in Thani and was applauded .

Sivaramakrishnan supported.

An outstanding full Tamizh Kriti concert I will remember for my life .

I attended this concert too. I'd estimate the crowd number varied between just under 100 to 250 through the concert. Most left at the start of the Thani avarthanam at 9pm, (the thani was surprisingly better than expected), though more left at 930pm.

The concert was meant to start at 7pm but did not begin until 7:20pm. Organisers told me it would be 2 hours but it ended at 10pm which was in a way a treat for the rasikas

Complete list below:

01 Innum En (varnam) - Charukesi - Adi - Lalgudi G Jayaraman

Her voice was certainly far better for the majority of the concert than any recording I have heard in the past 4 years. She was giving suitably better breaks for her voice during which is certainly beneficial. The first sign of issues with her voice were present during the Shanmukhapriya krithi but she sensibly did not pursue swaras which would have otherwise been predictable. Those issues then vanished until after the first half of the Kambhoji alapana and worsened during the thukkadas post-thani (except during the Kuntalavarali which was naturally appropriate, at least for those who understand the lyrics of that composition).

Highlights were the Shanmukhapriya viruttam, as well as the entirety of the Asaveri, Karnaranjani, and Amruthavarshini. But I did not like the Senchurutti and Sivaranjani this time; felt it needed a lighter touch of the brighas.

Please note in the title the concert was on 27 Dec, not 26 Dec.

She was regaining her voice, as of now. :( There's some months left, so maybe it could be back for December.

Please listen to him and make your own opinion :)
I find him a bit harsh.
