Vijaya Siva and recording in the same breath? Oxymoron-ish?

HaHa... I once caught a few minutes of his concert from near the front, and then remembered his views/policy. I apologised to to him afterwards: he was very gracious.

The current cold/cough bug had obviously caught him. I remarked at the end that this had not affected the quality of his voice. He replied that his guru trained him to overcome such things.

His concerts are always good. This was no exception.

LJ Vijayalakshmi and Bombay Balaji deserve mentions too. Vijayalakshmi's tone is just soooo good. And her accompaniment was so beautiful. Balaji played fascinating stuff throughout, following Vija Siva perfectly, but with his own very musical fingering.

LJ Vijayalakshmi's accompaniment strictly follows Lalgudi Sir's approach.any concert she accompanies gets elevated.
