Dear All
I am posting this on behalf of my PhD student (Venkatasubramanian Veeraraghavan) who is working on developing a model for gamakas
in Carnatic music. He has a theory that he would like to verify. He has created a few examples in the link given below:
http://www.iitm.ac.in/donlab/wermusic/i ... st1&wer=30
Every clip has a 4-5sec tambura followed by a phrase(s) belonging to a raga. Instructions are given at the link. You may listen to a clip
a number of times and decide. For your response to be considered you have to complete all the 30 clips. So of the clips are disturbing to
listen -- do not worry about this.
Thank you for participation in this analysis.
Regards, Hema

Re: Raga Test
Done and dusted.
Glad to see the old Alma Mater logo shining from the page. Studied there when B Tech was a 5 year course, and the monthly mess bill was ₹105.- at Tapti hostel, and there was no CSE. They were just building the big IBM 360 building next to our Electronics wing.
How everything flies.
The logo sports a phrase from my favourite, Bhagavadgita! 4.12: Success comes from endeavour :सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा

Wow - we share our alma mater! I was in Saraswathi from 1986-90. Tapti was a PG hostel when I studied. Things have changed a lot since then.... Have forwarded the raga test to all my contacts.Sachi_R wrote: ↑21 Apr 2017, 23:57 Done and dusted.
