What a find for me today! The kid stole my heart away. Voice, bhAva, clarity in singing and in lyrics, the fluency, his pleasing stage presence...tamizh konjugiRadu (tamizh so soothing). Bharathi from pAnjAli sabadam taken up too.

Then, I read the Hindu article. The kid is something else! As always, praise be to the parents...

Yes, His pravAham (flow) of singing IS born out of azutham--though azhutham tiruthamAga uzhutham paruppu is not in his singing, and that's fine!

Oh, if I need to be nit picking, well, parulanna mATa could have been sung at a slower pace. Hey! The kid has a life time to learn more and more! Blessings to him. To the parents and his gurus, vaNakkangaL pala...

Pleasing voice...Good find. Yes...if we need to nit-pick, maybe, lesser number of songs and more of Ragam(This is nit picking). We should not take away the merit..!!! Liked his approach.

I heard this kid Kashyap Mahesh about 5 to 6 years back in sastri hall , his voice is heavy and his sangathis have so much azhuttam. He seemed then to focus little too much in thamizh krithis - perhaps his domicile of Trichy may be the reason . Aurally he takes me to few antha kAlathu vidwans with his rava sAreeram. His focus is more sangathi weight than singing in a false voice with melody . More power to Kashyap
