What a nice and a genuine presentation? The trio reflect the small town music teacher and student expressions so well!
The artiste was introduced as disciple of Chitoor Subramania Pillai and Pallavi Narasimhan.
Somebody like MC will only fall for this! Not surprised.
Alarulu kuriyaga sung in vasanta . This is the SankarabaraNam one sung by other musicians. For the mood explained vasanta sounds appropriate - even better would be kuntala varALi, i.e. if the composer himself did not indicate any in the copper plates.
Also liked the miSra jampa one in Mohanam. Brings out sophistication in lyrics - even if tALa is a latter fitting!
