Dear Varsha,

Thank you for posting Madurai GS mani's Video Concert.Oh! What a scholarly concert?
This type of concert is possible only by GS Mani.Mayamalagowla's importance for open throated singing highlighted and explained.
it is not a run of mill concert where Krithi after Krithi is sung in quick succession.Highly competent accompaniment by M A Sundaresan.
Mridangam artist Manakal Sriram has given very inspired performance.
I request Rasikas to listen to this unique concert.

indeed .It was a part of carefully chiselled set of concerts organised by rasikas .
Anyway sadly it tapered down after 25 concerts.- manakkal, Kalpagam, Sankara Iyer , Tadepalli , TRS......
Obul Reddy was lucky.Wish I had money like him.Anyway there is the next janma.

Though it was just a 25 concerts or so, each concert was unique and chiseled into one of the finest art work. And the beauty is just not the music but the selection of the finest of artists invited to perform under the aegis of rasikas

set of 25 excellent concerts were stopped because of the absence of rasikas gradually to 3 rasikas in the last concert by Karpagam Miami's Veena concert.

I was very much benifited by listening to the music for the past 6 decades getting Peace of mind in listening to music of the legends of yester years.

However, I continue to conduct music programmes once in 3 months with my retirement pensions at my residance in Chennai.

NOW I AM living in Bangaluru and planning to arrange concerts in due course at Bangaluru.
