It was indeed a good concert by the young boy. Devagandari ragam was excellent. Kalyani ragam was in sync with the composition he took up though it was a very different kalyani from violinist - Sr vidushi Dr Narmada. Vocalist and violinist did not seem to be in sync, I thought. I did get a feeling though that violin volume was quite high throughout and was a little too dominant. That was very evident in Kamboji Alapana. Balaji and Harihara Sharma were quite good and encouraging. With Mridangam and Kanjira, they should have been given more time for Thani. It was a very brief Tani. The small girl on Tambura was quite excitedly singing along and nodding on good phrases as they came up. Maybe Sri Adithya Narayanan's sister. Ahiri - Manam Enguvadhu Ariyaano was sung beautifully and with taste. Overall, felt, that this boy is shaping up well. I saw his Guru Smt Suguna Varadachari watching him intently. he is the only male student(not considering her son) from her stable. I have heard her Son Bharat's(Sings well) concerts. Kudos to her for churning out young musicians.
