Post by Santoshlakkaraju »

hello,
My name is Santosh and I am wondering if anyone can give me word-to-word meanings for the song "baro krishnayya" composed by purandaradasa.
Thank you so much in advance. Would really appreciate it.

I think neleyAdi comes from the full form kAgineleyAdi kEshava, which means Adi kEshava from kAginele.

You are right Sreeni. I think that fits better. I was reading it as "neleyada".

That should be correct as Kaginele is the birth place of Kanakadasa, the composer of this song. Makes sense :)
Thank you.
