Meena/All,
Check point number 9 on this page:

<Rare archival pics of M. S. Subbulakshmi, as dancer, seen for the first time>
Any idea what they are talking about?
I have NEVER heard/read that Smt. MSS ever learnt to dance. On the other hand, I am aware that she has sung for several of Radha Viswanathan's performances (Radha and Anandhi (Kalki's daughter) performed together, right?).
All infor welcome!

shankar,

i think i have some pics of smt. MSS will look of it this weekend (if only i remember in which box i've stored the tattered book). I dont remember if it was sangeetham site that ran an article on her dance, - this was some yrs back, with new sites the archives is lost.

rshankar -> Smt.MS knew Baratha Naatyam but never performed on stage. ( I read that she learned Mrudhanagm playing also...from her brother). The article in link below gives nice photos of Smt.MS in dance poses.. The article appeared in dhinath thanthi and I have added some more photos.
