Thirupuzhal

Post by laya2 »

Hi

This is the song on Lord Muruga. It is from Thirupuzhal - Munthu Tamizh Malai.

செம் சொல் அடியார்கள் வாரக் கார ( senchol adiyArgaL vArakkAra ): You love the sweet-tongued devotees who sing Your praise,

எதிரான செம் சமரை மாயும் மாயக் கார( edhirAna senchamarai mAyu mAyak kAra ): You are the magician who annihilates enemies in battles,

I found the meaning in the net. In the song that I have, they have stressed on "edhirana"

I am not able to understand what is meant by "edhirana" I think it means against(not very sure)

How do we interpret these words and the line. Can somebody help.

thank you.

Edhirana would mean "opposing". So as an adjective to senchamar, it means "in the war that has (enemies) opposing"
