As for Pantula Rama , never had the chance to organise her concert.
Here is one from a balmy day in HSR Layout Blore . Charulatha Ramanjuam discovered before starting her violin concert that the strings were broken , Unfazed she broke into song .

here is the full version of the proceedings.It was stupid of me to slice an unsliceable experience , in the first place.
the only things edited out are the zealous singing of the hosts daughter
Even the hosts pet dog started liking the music as the day wore on .
Yes the violin was set right during the afternoon and it made an appearance too.
A great day followed by lunch and screening of some Laughton classics , I think .
Too bad the world moves so fast these days
In hindsight , this experience reinforced my belief that in our music , there are only two actors . the singer and the thing the singer sees .
I was happy to be a fly on the wall that day.
Charulatha . Such a fine artist and a person .And what a pair she makes , with Ramanujam.God Bless.

Varshaji - nothing you do is stupid! Thank you for the entire track - it is divine!

And thank you for recording it for posterity and sharing it with us! I agree that these sort of afternoons/evenings are what bring out the true essence of a musical experience. It was from one such recording of a lovely afternoon with Sri Madhava Rao that we were able to extract a beautiful experience for my daughter a few years ago.

I think of Charulatha as a fine violinist and a sweet and unassuming person--have heard folks say she's a very good singer too, but this is the first time I hear her! Such a treat. Thanks, Varsha
