I wish all happy Vishu though belated. Celebrated closer to vernal equinox, this is not dissimilar to dakshiNayana(Winter solstice) in how the significance of Sun's motion is there in both. Pointless fight over which is a true Tamizh new year.
A keralite Nair family drove five hours from Arkansas to visit the Guruvayoorappan temple of Dallas for Vishu celebrations and also take the opportunity to do AksharabyAsam to their child, reinforcing the principle that letters/ sounds are divine!
Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter closer to this date as they believe last supper is after the Jewish passover! Hey lets not be ghettoed and learn something about the West for a change!
