Veena Festival

The annual Veenotsavam, ‘Harmony of Strings for Human Harmony,’ coordinated by B. Kannan opens at the Narada Gana Sabha Mini Hall today. The festival has grown with 100 slots, 144 artistes, 23 mridangam and 23 ghatam artistes. Vainikas from across the world and all the southern States will participate in this marathon that will go on till September 22 (except September 15 and 17). Akhandam will be performed, 9 a.m. onwards on both Sundays. Concerts on other days begin at 6 p.m., except tomorrow, 4.15 p.m.
