A reminder for the function

After Eka Dina Laksharchanai and Sangita Upanyasam by Nellai Venkatesa Bhagavathar on 05 04 2017, today 15 04 2017 morning at 08 30 hrs Sampradaya Bajanai with Thodayamangalam, Guru Vandhanam and Ashtapathi was conducted by Brahmasri Subramaniam and Kannan Bhagavathar. There were two Mirudhangam and two Dolaki. A young boy of 12 yrs studying in 8th std. Chi.Aditya accompanied on Harmonium. His reply to the main Artistes on Sankarabharanam, Kambodhi, Poorvikalyani and Thodi to name few was excellent. His playing reminded me of TNS as a boy accompanying Sriman Sankarasivam years before in Tirupugazh bajans. Aditya is a good singer besides learning Mirudhangam. One of the Mirudhangams was played by Manivannan a C A student disciple of Manikantan whose Guru is Karaikudi Mani. An experience of listening to a good concert is felt since Thani by two Mirudhangams and two Dolaki was pleasing at the end by all the Artistes. A Birudhu of Bajanamrudha Sagaram was conferred on Brahmasri Melatur Srinivasa Bhagavathar for his devotional service to Bajani pathadi. With a sumptuous feast ended the morning session.
