This venue is on the same road as Mylapore Fine Arts but closer to TTK Road - near the intersection of Luz Church Rd.

Nick,
Take a right turn at Alwarpet signal (Lifestyle) into Luz Church Road (when you are coming from Adyar/Tiruvanmiyur and approaching The Music Academy on TTK Road), and go a small distance up to the place where it forks into two. This is the point where you have the store Baby Lou. You will find a restaurant called Myilai Masala at that point to the left. Just after Myilai Masala is a small lane. Go inside the lane, take a right turn when it ends and you should be able to spot the house.

It would be nice if one of our knowledgeable members were to post a listing and a review of this concert. I know I was not alone there, and one of the pleasures of a very pleasant evening was spending time with others after the program and partaking of the food offered by the hosts in that beautiful house.
In criticism generally, I can only say that RV goes from strength to strength, and that his own identity as an individual is not at all overshadowed by his teacher. I was pleased to see Srimushnan Raja Rao playing mridangam, masterfully. Quite apart from the fireworks of swara playing, he treated us to beautiful gumaka, for which I felt some hunger as the mridangists I've seen in the few concerts I've been to this year seem to hardly play more than tha and thom on the left side.
Who can tell us the violinist's name*? She played beautifully. Her ragas were lovely. I felt that she gained strength as the concert went on, felling that at first (only) perhaps she was a little over-awed by SRR in the swara passages.
As ever; all subjective stuff from me; I leave proper reviewing to those who are able.
*apart from a very few words of thanks from RV, there was a total absence of speeches
For the diaries, RV tells me he is singing on 24th at Sastri Hall.

Do enjoy this soulful rendition of Shri Rama Varma's Neelambari. The composition is a very romantic one by Maharaja Swati Tirunal:
