If I heard it correctly I just now heard Vidhu. A.Kanyakumari playing a kriti in this raga- Raghunayaka...? composition of Ramnad Srinivasa Iyengar in World space.
I think it is a janya of 29- sankarabharanam-resembles kathanakuthukalam.Elite forum to enlighten please.

The scale is: sa gA pa rI ma dhA sA/sa nI dha pA mA gA ri sA (mELA 29).
The song is raghunathA nammu nayamu is by Poochi Iyengar and the other song is rAmanAthapura shrInivAsa by B.Rajam Iyer.

It is Swararanjani, and Sangeetha Kalanidhi Veena Doreswami Ayyangar played it often.

Poochi Srinivasa iyengar must have been inspired by His guru Patnam subrahmanya iyer to create a similar lively raga.
