Paras Ragam

Hello Sri Lakshman and Sri. Satyabalu

That was a great lot of info about this particular Raga named Paras. Smt. Sudha Raghunathan has also composed a Thillana in this Ragam which she has included in her album Mellifluous Melody. Thank you very much for sharing all that you know about this particular Raga. I could use this info when i write a review about this particular raga.

radmahesh: The tillAnA that you are referring to in post #26 is not composed by Sudha but by Poochi Srinivasa Iyengar. Please see my list in post # 3- (tillAnA starts with) tAnOm tana ta dhiranA.

Some sing paras with M2 It is totally wrong. There is only M1 in Paras. They cite the example of a so called hallowed bhani that blindly changed ragas without any qualms. Such hollow versions will have to be rejected lock, stock and barrel.
