The mand raga version was tuned by Smt Charumathi Ramachandran and has been sung by MLV, Charumathi, Sudha Ragunathan and others.

I have a doubt with the few words in the lyrics & have written the right words, as I heard, in the brackets. Pls feel free to correct.

I think neleyAdi comes from the full form kAgineleyAdi kEshava, which means Adi kEshava from kAginele.

You are right Sreeni. I think that fits better. I was reading it as "neleyada".

That should be correct as Kaginele is the birth place of Kanakadasa, the composer of this song. Makes sense

Here Pallavi is MaanD. Anupallavi is Mishra Peelo and charanams are Jonpuri.
