Spiritually immersed is the only way to describe this promising youngster....It stirs the soul.

A gutsy youngster who threw away an engineering degree to pursue music, enrolled for a B.A then an M.A in music, became a singer full time, training with some great teachers while on a spiritual quest, all the while backed by a great mother as single parent - somewhat like the story of Kal R. Srinivasan, CEO of Global Education.

Lalith J Rao threw away a career in Electronics Engineering in the 70 s !!!!!

Having said this much , KG's style will be a difficult one to emulate or follow . Chances are that the external trappings will be captured completely . A style very much linked to his Near-Death experience .

Thimma, I am just an aspiring kaansen, no expertise here....but listen to this nirguni bhajan first. I can almost hear Kr. Gandharva-ji in some places....Then, I give links to his Bihag in 4 parts. Almost celestial.

Something tells me he is going to be big out there stealing hearts with his singing. He is so humble, spiritual, young and yet so mature in his appeal.....and much more in control than Rahul Deshpande (whose over-confident stylization is annoying) who also follows Ghandharva-ji. To give Rahul his due, he has some good renditions.

No No !
I did not mean anything disrespectful . I am as optimistic about Present / Future as any one of you .
KG , like MDR is the result of an exotic twist in the way these melodies have been submitted to interpretations.
They deepen the mystery , in the process of elucidating . Atleast , to my senses.
Enjoying these clips.
I will consider putting up some clips from a full 3 hour long Video Concert ( private mehfil ) of KG .
Open to the idea of screening it privately for Chennaivasis , or Bangalorevasis .....anytime.
