That was certainly a landmark event for Brhaddhvani as well as in Chennai music circle.

The carnatic music world owes a lot to the publishers of the English edition of Sangita Sampradaya Pradarsini Sri P P Narayanaswami & Vidya Jayaraman and the Bhishmacharya of Carnatic music Sri S R Janakiraman for the monumental offering.

The speakers were 'enviably brief' in their addresses thereby leaving room for more technical inputs from the experts. . It was quite evident that all at Brhaddhvani led by Sri Subramanian had taken immense efforts to make the function a really memorable one.And Divyanand Sudarshan compered the proceedings so naturally.

Sri Ram Parasuram who rendered select kriti-s on violin did introduce music lovers to some apoorva kritis. It would have been nicer if he had vocally demonstrated the songs. The pitch of violin was a bit high for him to sing!
