I heard this composition of G.S.Mani sung by a lady artiste on the radio that was set in a raga that sounded like Hindolam but with prati madhyamam. Anyone has any information on this composition?

Sri GS Mani Iyer published his tamiḷ compositions in a booklet entitled, "tennavan iśai ulā" - a number of pieces on dēvi depict mīnākṣi on her wedding day, e.g. "tōraṇa pandalilē," "siṅgāra alaṅkāram koṇḍu ninṟāḷ", "pārttu paravaśamānēn", "kalyāṇa vaibhavam kāṇīrē" - these and other numbers on other deities are composed in commonly known rāga-s.

The recent publication entitled, "rājapūjita ramyam" contains 101 Sanskrit compositions in common as well as uncommon rāga-s like kalāsāvērī, indu pañcamam, bhōja mukhāri, and kāḷikā.
