in our institution we are conducting the aradhana festival .at first the lightening will be done by the guest then the students of our institution will preside the devotional songs later the instrumental and vocal together performances by students .in this they render the krithis. then i sing the thyagaraja krithis and next will be the purandara dasas pillari geetha followed by the pancharathna krithis rendered by all the vidwans and vidushis.then we sing the utsava sampradhaya krithis at last we end with purandara dasas kruthis and mangalam.

In the invocation to the dance-drama 'prahlAda bhakti vijayam', Sri tyAgarAja states -

durita vrAtamul(e)llanu badi mArceDi hari guNamula bADucun(e)puDun
paravaSuDai velayu purandara dAsuni mahimamulanu dalaceda madilOn

"I ponder in my mind on the greatness of purandara dAsa who shines in a state of exultation singing always the virtues of Lord hari which transforms the all evil-some destiny."

Therefore, purandara-thyaga ArAdhana is an appropriate name. Rather, we could call it by the common name 'bhAgavata ArAdhana' combining all the great blessed ones starting from nArada.

Purandara dAsa was not a rAja anytime; His guru vyAsarAya, however is also called vyAsarAja because he was the namesake king when KrishnadEvarAya supposedly had an astrologically bad time in his horoscope.
