Re: Sangeetha Sivakumar
One of my favourite singers in her generation. I find her music weighty. Her manOdharmam amply demonstrates the GNB school, and the hard work she has put in absorbing its essence -- and to bring that out with her vocal wherewithal. Additionally, I also find her krti renditions "juicier" than others of that school, and very moving. In her recent concerts, she seems to also include some Kshetrayya padams and other compositions normally associated with the Brinda-Mukta school, but it's been a while since I got to heard her. I feel she is rather underrated, and would like more concerts of her to be held in general -- and in Bangalore in particular.
