Was wondering what other users have found to be the best microphones for Carnatic voices and instruments are?
The standard set up I use is the Shure SM58 (or Shure Beta 58A) for vocals and Shure SM57 (or Beta 57A) for instruments.
Interested to hear from others who have experimented with different mics. Some of the audio techs here have used condenser mics for violins and mrudangam - not sure exactly what type.
