In this pada varNam, the composer is describing a love-lorn nAyikA who is waiting for muruga to come to her.
In the pallavI, the poet says: Oh Lord kumAraswAmi, are you not the repository of kindness in the world? Please take pity on me and hear my plea - I come here as the messenger of a young and beautiful woman (pUvai = someone who is as beautiful and tender as a flower). She is beginning to feel that the burden of living without you is too much of a cross for her to bear, and she is heartbroken and is hurting a lot.
In the AP, the messenger describes the consequences of delay: He says, please come with me, oh Nephew of the great vishNu. For if you do not make haste, the maiden will die of a broken heart, because, she is suffering like a worm that is being baked in the sun (worms need lots of moisture to survive, hence their underground burrows in damp areas - and placing one in the sun will surely kill it)...
In the cittaswara sAhitya, the composer requests that Lord murugA, the one who usually embraces his wives vaLLi and dEvasEna, to come to the nAyikA on his peacock (whose tail feathers are fanned out), and grant her the vision of his feet so that she can surrender herself to him.

In the caraNa sAhityam the composer (PS) in the form of teh messenger says:
She is afflictled by an illness, so please make haste and come, and give her the necessary medication. Alternately, she is very stubborn in her love for you (stubborn, because presumably, she has been asked to stop thinking about the impossible, and has been told that her love is unrequited, and she should stop this madness - but she refuses to accept rational thought), so please come and relive her distress.
In the long swara sAhitya, PS says:
Oh Son of the mighty pArvatI, repository of kindness, this woman believes in you even when she's asleep. Oh nephew of vishNu, this lovelorn maiden takes your name at all times, and had become mad in her love for you. Lost in her thoughts of you, she has forgotten her parents, her home, and her friends, and pastimes. And she sits in lonely places, and cries for no apparent reason. Why is your heart not melting? Are you keeping yourself away from her as a test? Do you think this is just? Or is there some secret purpose to this torture? The maiden has tried everything to win you: prayers, peity, fear, and even some machiavillian schemes - but she has found no satisfaction thus far.

As usual, a great job, Ravi.

Few additions:

pallavi:
dayA nidhiyE!
vEmbena: the meaning is correct. The two words are vEmbu+ena=bitter neem (bitter margosa) like

anu pallavi:
maiyyal: being enamored, enchanted
yes, miSai is on top of
SIruDanE=SIr (azhagu, beauty)+uDan=with

charaNam:
Yes, vAda nOi; in repeating the line becomes piDivAda nOI! (the ailment of stubbornness)!
vizhiyuDAiyAL (feminine)
varumam is vendetta. Here, 'are you vengeful?'
tandiram here is witchcraft.

I've found one more version of the last ettugada svara sahityam (used in dance):

mAyon marUga unnai seyyon marugan unnai |
vayyAravazh tamivay undipaduzhay ||
nee naindu mannA miravum naindu ruginal |
visAga pain tohai mayil vAga guhA viraha ||

I have written it down from words, so very probably there are many mistakes in transliteration of words.
may i ask for help - to correct transliteration and explain the meaning of the sahityam?
thank you very much for help!
