Just to inform the members who posted, not to brag. Myself and Tanjore Marathi Grundig tape collector took many a recommendation made by deep connoisseurs in Sangeetham.com seriously, even though neither of us were previously knowing about the greatness of it.

Smt Rama Ravi and Dr Nanditha , we had their concert as part of their US tour in Columbus Ohio, in one of those early 2000 years. She stayed with TMGTC and we had a very good interaction.

She sang koniyAdina - kAmbodhi as main and many other gems from the repertoire of the Dhanammal school.

Probably that may have been the tour when I was first introduced to the vidushi's music. I slept on a Sunday afternoon and went to the SIFA concert in the bay area late - and was just stunned w/ her music. Early 2000s may be 2002(?). Heard her in 2010 in NI - and saw many musicians in the audience - no wonder

Her LecDem about Subbaraya Shastri is superb - this year at MA. What a giant of a composer with only a few Gems - full justice. I wonder why Janani Ninnuvina was not talked about.....
My favorite remains Ninnu Sevinichina...
