Uma Ramanan ,aged 72 an ace playback singer passed away yesterday night (May 01st,2024). I just heard she is going to be cremated in few hours .I am travelling , just a small tribute to this great singer . I have personally known her husband Shri AV Ramanan and also her when I was in school days. She has performed non stop in music troup . Uma Ramanan was a trained carnatic singer having got trained under Pazhani Vijayalakshmi
