could somenone kindly provide the meaning of the following carana from Madurai N. Krishnan's tillana composition in raga hamsanandi ?
bhaktanai kAkka vanda nrsimhA paghalum iravum illAda nErattil
hiraNyan samhAram sheida mUrtiyil (?) krSNanai kAkkum samayam iduvE
[ this tillana has been rendered by Sudha Ragunathan in the Thillana-s CD]

bhaktanai kAkka vanda nrsimhA paghalum iravum illAda nErattil
hiraNyan samhAram sheida mUrtiyil (?) krSNanai kAkkum samayam iduvE
bhaktanai = (for the sake of your) devotee
kAkka = (to) protect
vanda = (one who) came
nrisimhA = narasimha (the 4th avatAr of vishNU)
pagalum = daytime
iravum = nighttime
illAda = (when it was) not
nErattil = time
hiraNyan = hiraNya kashipu (prahlAda's father)
samhAram = destroy/kill
sheida = act of
mUrtiyE = avartAr/form
krSNanai = (the) poet
kAkka = protect/bless
samayam = time
iduvE = this is (the ideal)
Oh Lord who assumed he form of narasimha and destroyed the wicked hiraNyakashipu in the twilight hours (neither day nor night - hiraNyan had reveived a boon that he could not be killed by man or beast, on the ground on in the skies, inside or outside any establishment, with any weapon, during the day or night - so the lord assumed the form of a man/lion - neither man nor beast, and sat on the threshold of his palace - neither in nor out, and placed him on his laps - neither on the ground nor in the skies, and killed him with his claws - no weapons, at the twilight hour - neither day or night!) to protect your ardent devotee (hiraNya kashipU's son prahlAd is a devout bhakt of vishNU...hiraNyakashipu is disgusted with his behavior, and decides to kill his son - just before doing the deed, he asks his son, 'where is that vishNU in whom you have pinned your faith? Will he come to your help?' - prahlAd replies that vishNU is omnipresent and omnipotent - enraged, the father asks 'in this pillar?' and the son says 'yes'...and narasimha emerges when hiraNyakashipu mockingly breaks the pillar with his mace) - it is now (the ideal) time to protect me - another of your devotees.
