Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on rasikas.org. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Interacting with other members

    1. Please do not post inappropriate material. If you would not feel comfortable viewing it at work, or in front of children or parents, don't post it! This forum is used by children as well as old people, in addition to others, so be considerate. #
    2. Treat other members and artistes with respect. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated. #
    3. Please do not post threads text in all CAPITALS since this is considered to be shouting and is not necessary. #
  2. Commercial information

    1. This forum does not allow the illegal sharing of copyrighted music. Please do not post links to download them. #
    2. Advertising for commercial products is not generally allowed. Please obtain permission from the administrator or moderators by email if you think posting commercial products or services is in the interest of the forum. #
  3. Type of Content

    1. This forum is mainly for discussions on Carnatic Music and related topics. Please do not post extraneous stuff. #
    2. Political commentary or ideological expression is discouraged on this site. Please do not expect all members to have your political preferences. #
    3. This is not the place to discuss religious beliefs. Religion can be discussed in so far as it related to the historical development of Carnatic Music and its cultural aspects but not as a stand-alone ideological topic. Please note that there are persons of different religious backgrounds who are members of this forum. #
    4. Spamming (posting the same content more than once) is not allowed on this forum. #
  4. Illegal activities

    1. No hacking or other illegal activity is allowed, and if appropriate, may be reported to legal authorities. #
