I recently heard the kriti "amba paradevathe". When I heard the kriti for the first time, I thought it was a composition of dikshitar. It is actually a composition of Shri Krishnaswamy ayya and I found myself completely lost in the beauty of the song (for lyrics, pl.refer sahitya thread), which prompted me to start this thread. Can we have more info on this composer? Btw, I think the hamsadhwani kriti "namAmi vighna vinAshaka" is his composition too...

Yes, 'amba paradEvatE' in rudrapriya and 'namAmi vighna vinAyakA' are both compositions of Krishnasamy Ayya.

For a start, read: http://www.geocities.com/promiserani2/co1104.html.

I think the late TMT Sir has retuned namAmi vighnavinAyaka along with the ciTTasvara.

Other than the compositions mentioned in the above link, he has also composed:

1. jaya jaya janakasutE - sAvEri
2. pAhimAm bAlakumAra - darbAr
3. gOpikA ramaNam - dEvagAndhAri
4. enda telupuDu - husEni
5. pAlayamAm Shiva Shankari - suraTi
6. dEvi tripura sundari - nIlAmbari
7. mangaLam mangaLam - EkAdaSha rAgamALikA

If anyone has some audo of these pls share with us.
