vijayagopal: your commentary is indeed very welcome - hope you give us more padyams as and when possible. I read somewhere that Ramadasu was remarkably fluent in Telugu, Sanskrit and Urdu and that his teacher was one Raghunatha Bhattacharya - this person is mentioned in one of the padyams in the satakam. Would you (or anyone else on the forum) happen to know about or provide references to Ramadasu's education? I'm particularly keen on the aspect of poetry and music in Ramadasu's works. Thanks.

He says the name of Rama has become such a mantram for Siva, Vibhishana and Parvati. Here we may refer to the slokam “SriRama rama ramet rameâ€
