bhUta gaNangaLin adhipatiyAi viLangiDum gajakarNan karuNai seyyum vinAyakan
He is the elephant-faced (gajamukhan) one who assumes (koNDavan) the handsome form (vaDivazhagum) of an elephant-faced (karimukha) [1] that is like (pOl) the full moon (muzhumati) filled (migu) with intellect (mati).

The one worshiped (paNindiDum), by the gods (viNNavar), mortals (maNNavar), including the composer, muraLIdaran (muraLiyum).

This is awesome! and yes you are right...there is a redundancy of the concept of the elephant-faced descriptors... which makes it hard for abhinaya and gestures
You accidentally missed this line in your translation - bhUta gaNangaLin adhipatiyAi viLangiDum gajakarNan karuNai seyyum vinAyakan - means the lord of the ganas, oh elephant eared one, show me your compassion?
