Re: Lyrics and meaning for Navamanigalile Nalla Mani iduve
I have made corrections to the lyrics posted by Lakshman-ji based on what I hear from Smt. Suguna V's version from her recent concert (on April 13, 2018).
pallavi
nava maNigaLilE nalla maNi iduvE
nenjinil aNivAyE manamE
Among the nine (nava) precious gems (maNigaLilE) this alone (iduvE) is the best (nalla) gem (maNi), (so) wear it (aNivAyE) on (your) heart (nenjinil), oh mind (manamE)!
anupallavi
tavamaNi ammaNi SAradAmaNi
bhavabhayam pOkkiDum bhakta cintAmaNi (navamaNigaLilE...)
(This gem is) the respected lady (ammaNi), a gem among ascetics (tavamaNi), Sarada Devi (SAradAmaNi) [1], who is the gem that gives whatever is thought of/desired (cintAmaNi) by devotees (bhakta), and who removes (pOkkiDum) fears (bhayam) of (this) worldly existence (bhava).
caraNam
ninaippavar nenjinil niRkkum manOnmaNi
niscala jnyAnam nimmadi aruLmaNi
manadil koNDAl mAmaRudAmaNi
mangaiyar kulattikkOr maNiviLakkA(m)maNi (navamaNigaLilE...)
(She is like) pArvati (manOnmaNi) [2] who exists (niRkkum) in the hearts (nenjinil) of those that think of (ninaippavar) (her). She is the gem (maNi) that grants (aruL) permanent (niScala) knowledge (jnyAnam) and peace/tranquility (nimmadi). If (you) take (her) into (koNDAl) (your) mind (manadil), (she becomes) a mighty (mA) blemish-free (maRudA) [3] gem (maNi). (She is) a gem (maNi) who is a (Or) shining example (maNiviLakkAm) to the clan (kulattiRkku) of women (mangaiyar).
FOOTNOTES
[1] Wife of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa?
[2] If manOnmaNi can be split as mana(s) + unmaNi it would mean the gem lying on the surface of the mind
[3] I have no idea if the word is marudAmaNi or maRudAmaNi, and I have translated it as the latter, taking maRudA to mean the opposite of maRu = blemish....

Thank u v much rshankar for the beautiful meaning
Are you certain that this kriti is on Saint Sarada Devi and not the Goddess Sarada Devi of Sringeri?

aniyavE - to wear (recommendation) (or) wear (command?)
cintAmaNi - Lakshman's lyrics mention shikAmani. The best devotee?
is it mA marudA mani (or) mA marundAm mani?

If we can get the original tamil script before transliteration it would clear many doubts.

rshanker’s post at 5.
Excellent translation.my views on the foot notes.
1-because of the following 3 expressions தவமணி, பக்த சிந்தாமணி, மங்கையர் குலத்துக்கோர்...
I also think that it refers to Smt Saradha devi wife of Ramakrishna. On a wider perspective,as per the hindu tradition Saradha Devi could have been named after the Goddess.
From the singing of smt suguna Varadachari it is mAmarudAmaNi. I have a doubt whether a nasal sound has not been articulated i.e mAmarundAmaNi . In the transliteration of laxman un. Instead of ain. If there is tamil script this would stand clarified. There is another possibility. mA. maRai. inda maNi (this gem is the big vedA ). But here also inda or indA needs clarification
There is no aNiyavE. It is aNivAyE.

My logic to think this was on Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa's wife was the same as yours, especially the phrase 'mangaiyar kulattirkkOr', but I was not entirely sure if it was not on SAradA dEvi of SRngEri
