Here is an attempt Keeths . Part 1

P:
pAla - O Protector!
sarasa muraLI sudhArasa bhAva madhura laharI vihAra - O One delighting in the sweet waves of the nectarine expressions of the beautiful flute
gOpAla - O Protector of cows!

A:
nIla naLina rucira daLa lOcana - O One with eyes lovely as the petals of the blue lotus!
nigama sAra mrdu vacana - O One whose gentle speech is filled with the essence of the Vedas!
jita madana - O One who surpasses Manmatha!

C1:
kOlAhala naTana padAmbuja dhara kinkiNi rava tAna gaNa gaNa jAla - O One who makes a multitude of sounds from tinkling tones of the tiny bells worn by the lotus-feet that indulge in exuberant dancing!
vrajalOla - O One who wanders around Vraja-bhumi ( Brindavana) !
madhukAla = O Slayer of the demon Madhu!
kanakadukUla - O One wearing a golden garment!
gOpAla - O Protector of cows!

Notes :
1. I have translated bhAva as expressions and sarasa as beautiful though these words are used in more senses.
2. In C1, the word "dhrta" instead of "dhara" would be grammatically correct. I would think it is poetic licence in using this form.

Comments welcome.

C2:
niravadhi ramya smEra mukAmbuja - O One with a lotus-face that is immeasurably (limitlessly) charming and smiling!
kusumita kalhAradaLa lOcana - O One whose eyes are like a fully-blossomed red-lotus petal!

3: kamaNIya ati tEjas taTAka khElita makara gaNa
abhivrta gOpa vadhUjana ramaNa - O Delighter of the Gopikas who surround you
iva -like
kamaNIya ati tEjas taTAka khElita makara gaNa - a group of sea-creatures frolicking in the pool of your enchanting radiance!
manOhara rAsa vihAra - O One engaged in the heart-captivating Rasa-leela!
tamAla sumAla - O one wearing a beautiful garland of Tamala (flowers)!

Note: "kamaNIya ati tEjas taTAka khElita makara gaNa iva abhivrta gOpa vadhUjana ramaNa " AS per grammar this should be a single compound word, but is seen as two, due to the presence of the word "iva" in between. THe meaning of course turns out complete when translated.

C4:
sajjana munigaNa sura sannuta - O One praised by good people, ascetics and Devas!
gOvardhana giridhara - O One lifting the Goverdhana mountain!
shishira bhuvana pada nartana - O One delighting(lit. cooling) the earth with your feet and their dancing!
maNigaNa kiraNa jvalita maya kuNDala maNDita gaNDa-udAra -- O One whose cheeks are greatly beautified with (the reflection of) ear-ornaments which dazzle with the rays of a host of gems!

C5:
vallavI rati kalaha lOlatara - O One eager for lovers' quarrels with the Gopikas!
madhura manOhara shikhaNDaka jAla - O One with a bunch of peacock feathers which are sweet, captivating!
mrga gaNa vairi su-nakha gaNa bhUSaNa - O One adorned with a bunch of lovely nails of tigers (which are the deer's enemies)!
mrgamada tilaka samujvala phAla O One whose forehead is resplendent with a Tilaka of musk(Kasturi) !
agaNita maNIgaNa pravara viracita kaTakadhara karatala - O One whose hands bear bracelets inlaid with innumerable gems!
mukura kapOla - O One with cheeks (smooth) like mirrors!
tvad-adhara madhu rucita kalita lalitAhata pratyAhata maya svarajAla- O One making music with a profusion of notes (on the flute) with charmingly embellished musical phrasings, that are filled with the nectar of your lips!

Notes:
1. shishirita bhuvana would be more common, though shishirabhuvana can be interpreted similarly
2. Ahata and pratyahata are technical musical terms and others can give better terms for them
3. Made a few corrections to words, mostly based on the lyrics in venkatakavi.org

Keeths - hope this is helpful.

A musician friend has opined that Ahata and pratyAhata can be said to be "embellished musical phrasings". Hence I have edited that post with these words in the place of "struck and restruck" (which are literal translations of Ahata and pratyAhata)

My view was that the pallavi begins with bAla to denote the child Krishna and when linked with 'go-' from the ending of the pallavi and each of the charanams becomes gO-pAla sarasa murali.

The notations are available at https://carnaticnotations.blogspot.com/ ... /Keeravani
