Hi Rasikas,

Need notation for any simple mallari, in gambeeranata or nata.

need clarification,
1. are mallaris composed in only in ragams like nata and gambeeranata?
2. are there any mallaris with sahithyams (is recording available) ?
3. what is the actual concept of mallari, how did it originate?
4. are there any popular composers of this form.
5.are they ment to be played on only nadhaswaram?
6.what is the structure of this form(is it like pallavi-a.pallavi-charanam ??)

mallari = malla + ari
malla stands for pailvan or palanquin/pallaki bearers
and ari stands for ghosha or slogan
so mallari is slogan of palanquin bearers in joy(in the name of god or any strong sounds)
which is was a part of temple ritual and turned into musical/ dance form.
