I remember the highlighted stanza only. It does not sound like manirnagi. nor kambodhi.

Did you find the audio? How does the version you remember of the last stanza compare to the version I provided in post #2, does the tune you remember resemble this one?

Madam,
My sincere apologies for this delayed response. I had seen the tube link mentioned by you. Someone has used it for a dance performance. Very often, singers may choose a different ragam.
Manirangu is etched in my memory as ever-associated with DKP 'Mamava pattaabiraama'.
and choosing that sacred ragam for this particular song seemed inappropriate. The tone of the poem has a heroine and possibly her friend only.

The song that I have in mind is definitely not manirangu and almost certainly is in natabairavi ( example- Radaha-Jayalakshmi, srivalli devasenapathe'.

It is a song that was popular in the fifties. So. may need very patient search.
Our P.Bala Sir may hit the bull's eye with his search techniques.

I am not sure what you mean by saying Manirangu is too sacred for this song.

The song seems to be about Nataraja.. it is a person (possibly a heroine, but why can’t it be a man!!) After all the story goes that Nandanaar yearned to be able to be in the presence of Chidambara Nathar. It is a very similar yearning. Parvati herself yearned and undertook a penance to be able to unite with the same lord.. why is Manirangu then too sacred for Nataraja or for this yearning?

Natabhairavi is also associated with one great song on a great deity, is it not also then too sacred for this song ?

It sounds like manirangu, unnikrishnan has also sung it in Manirangu. The version I shared was Sudha raghubathan, clearly. It was not a dancer version. The song info that Lakshman shared also stated raga as Manirangu so this sounds like it mught be the standard version.

But I did come across Anuradha Sriram singing it in Anandabhairavi.

@10-> Madam, The song referred to by me was a 78 rpm record , sometime in 1950-56. I am not after the lyric at all but about the ragam of that particular record. ( most likely by MM Danadapani desikar)
Perceptions and tates differ. Let us agree to differ.

It may be by Sathur A.G.SUBRAMANYAM. and the ragam is likely to be KeerwaaNi.
