I think the caraNa sAhityam should be:

ninaivil enrum nirainda vElavA enadu uLamadai koLLa vA
vana vaLLi magizh maNavALA vA kanindu kaN pArttenai ALa vA

It is colla vA (to say) in the book. ALa is correct. I have made the change. Thanks.

Rajani/Arasi,

What does 'uLamadi colla vA' mean?

Yes, I had missed it!
Ravi is right. 'uLamadaik koLLa vA' makes sense. To take possession of my heart (which is already yours)--is how I see it. The 'La' sound goes with ALa too.

"Enathu ullam athai shollava" is the correct pronunciation. I'm a tamilian. It means "Should I still tell what is in my heart."
Kollava would mean "Should I still 'kill' my heart". It is not correct. Sorry, I'm too late.

This is correct - “shollava” is the word used. Just came across this thread.
