Like Subramanya Barathy, Suddhananda Barathy and many other lyricists, the poem might have been conceived in a particular raga and perhaps 'tAlA' also. But they are not musical compositions unless either they themselves or someone else, gives them notation.
If we appreciate it for the 'poetry' part or 'theme' part, we should just consider them as 'lyricist' only. Neither music composer ( 'tunesmith' is expressive enough.) nor a singer!
So many of Purandaradasa Sahithyams, Annamacharya works and even of Swahi thiruNall and Sadasiva Brammendram have been tuned by others. Still Dasa sahithyams and Annaiya soings have been spread and sung for centuries by wandering singers and have been part of the life of great many village families . That is why we can comnsider them as composers.
Barathidasan is a poet. ( lyricist). He is neither a composer nor a singer.
High time that we understand this. Triniyt's creations only have been notated atleast partly and taught widely. ( of course, post-trinity have notated).
This may better fit in tamil section as a poem.

Thanks !

Sri Subburathinam was devoted to Lord Murugan of Mailam (Tamil Nadu).

Mailam Shri Shanmukhan Vannappaattu (மயிலம் ஸ்ரீ ஷண்முகன் வண்ணப்பாட்டு), Mailam Shri Sivashanmukha Kadavul Pancharatnam (மயிலம் ஸ்ரீ சிவசண்முகக் கடவுள் பஞ்சரத்நம்), and Mailam Subramaniar Tudiyamudu, (மயிலம் சுப்பிரமணியர் துதியமுது) were written by him in 1920's.

The song in question appears in Mailam Subramaniar Tudiyamudu.

The Anupallavi referred to by you

This song as well as many other devotional songs written by him were used to be sung during the annual visit of Lord Mailam Murugan to Pondicherry for the Masi Makham festival. But this practice of singing Subburathinam's songs came to an end by 1930.

Many forget this phase in Bharathidasan's life (or, are unaware of it) that Subburathinam after all was known as a young bhagavathar in Puduvai. He was also writing traditional poetry. It was at a wedding concert of his that Bharathi was drawn to his voice and singing. He went up to the youngster and complimented him. He had also been singing Bharathi's verses out of his love for them, even before meeting the bard. His poetic style changed too, from the didactic to the imaginative, thanks to his association with and reverence for the mahAkavi...

Lyricists, if at all, can be included in Composers section. If we start posting the lyrics from song-books, there would be no end to it.
Have these been set to tune by anyone? Has anyone sung it?
Perhaps, vocalists like Sanjay Subramanyam have tuned these.
If so, we can place the recording in musicians section under the vocalist.
If not, such poetry/lyrics are best placed in the Tamil section.
The Best Solution however will be to have one more section for Lyricists.

Here is a 'TAMIL SONG', written by Sri Subburathinam in 1926, eight years after the departure of Bharati from Pondicherry - five years after his demise !

P.S.
Regret the digression.
