There is another concert of Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna in the same venue (Nanganallur Anjaneyar Temple).


The accompanying artists were Sri.TN Krishnan, Sri.Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Sri.TH Vinayakram and Sri.G Harishankar.

I have not heard of any concert before this in which Sri.TN Krishnan had accompanied Dr..M.Balamuralikrishna.

The above was at Music Academy - but organized by the AnnadAnam Trust ( Shri Ramani Iyer IIRC) of that temple. March 3, 1997.

BMK was presented with svarNa mUrti of SrI AnjanEya. SSI spoke before the intermission and declared him "the creative" artiste of all of Indian music. SSI was also envious that all of them ( including his disciple TNK ) were ulagam suttrum vAlibargal ( globe trotters) while he was confined to Mylapore.

That was also the first time I saw SSI in person in my life!!

So the Ghatam artiste at the temple venue is not THV. I could not go to that concert - saw the Ad and heard the stories. Umayalpuram Narayanaswamy? Nagaraja Rao? I have seen Palghat Sundaram - doesn't look like him.
