Abhishek was asked about purism and also about Dr BMK and his vision of gAna sudha rasa

https://youtu.be/q_5gAo6OuVY?t=118

he is one artiste who is capable of doing full justice to this song - and he did almost! But I think there are some ways to go - not sure if he was impeded by the presence of a flowing Mridangam vs. absence of the wait and embellish Mridangam.

Dr BMK will push rasa in gAna sudha rasa to almost ra | sa position and pAna niratam the ending "m" karam will flow over the samam with gAnAm and karOmi syncopated thereafter with a slight offset on the beats.

If there is one artiste that can do that with subtlety that is Abhishek - as he does similar things in various points of his renditions.

A classic rendition will be available if the first of song of the concert posted in post #5 here viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28126 is retrievable!

What we heard here is a SSI style sangati development instead on that line.

Same here at vEdAgama SAStra purANa https://youtu.be/q_5gAo6OuVY?t=767
- purA | Na should bring out kAravi over saShabda kriya! - as spacing is available in vEdAgama to catchup!

Yes the sound has to be celebrated by itself as divine, along with letters and the intervals!

Here is the rendition that I posted in V&V forum for Dr BMK: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=126&start=225#p328466

Mani Meets Murali - 1996 AIR

He does what I described above! - even though age caught up and brigha was less than ideal.
