Sublime concert - LGJ back in those days was at his technical peak. The energy and verve with which he used to play back then and how Srimathi Brahmanandam had to play to keep up note for note with that - no mean feat.

The best part is the tone of the gut strings on his violin and how it shines through that old recording - warm and velvety. Steel for all it's advantages falls short in this department.

Lalgudi Bramhananadam matched Lalgudi and had answer for every thing thrown.Oh what great combination during 1960-72 period.It is stated that they played around 500 or so concerts.
