After elaborate Homam and laksharchani in the morning few bajan songs were sung.
in the evening students from Sapthaswara music school headed by Smt Vidhya a product of Kalakshetra kept the audience spell bound for one hour by rendering Thevaram, Thirupugazh and Mum moorthi creations and other songs. The mirudhangam was by Sri Mahesh. Smt Vidhya played Veena and conducted the event. The group consisting of very young boys and girls numbering 12 did their job perfectly well. Then after Upanyasam on Sri Ramajananam for 30 mts Tiruchur sisters Sarayu manoj and Manasa manoj started their innings. To my surprise the sisters one in Plus two and the other 6th standard started by rendering devotional songs selected from different composers in Tamil , Hindi and Marati. The one hour program was so nice an audience strength of 100 enjoyed the full performance of the young artistes without any stir. Mirudhangam was by Viswesh a disciple of Arjun Ganesh. This program continued till all the requests of the Rasikas were met. There was perfect alignment on shruti and no mis matching or derailment noticed anywhere. This very young girls have bright future. Their guru is Dr. Sumathi Krishnan an SK R V school. Brahmasri Agneeswara Srinivasan blessed the sisters with golden shawl. Prasadam was distributed at the end.

Thank you as always. Young talents and good teachers are brought to the notice of rasikas this way. It's heartening to know that CM is alive and well in far from Chennai areas as seen here, being taught and imbibed by the youngsters.
