Sangeeth Sarita

Post by gobilalitha »

Years ago,as soon as the clock showed7.30 am, I would rush to switch on vividh bharati for sangeeth sarita programme, I It was a very useful informative programme, i learnt so many hm raags. as the method was very simple , to start with aaroh, avaroh, then a short pakkad a film song base on the raag, then a tumri or a ghazalor a bhajan and so on in the same raag. . It was one of the most sought after programmes. Is the programme still continuing in vividh bharati? gobilalitha

Dear Sir,

It is very much in existence, and is a staple in our household..

The minor difference between our and your routine is that you switched it on at 7.30; and we keep the radio on, and know that it is 7.30; when we hear the title music of sangeeth sarita.

they are repeating most of the older precious archival programmes, interspersed with a few new sets.

Sangeet sarita is indeed a treasure, and has enriched our music learning significantly.
