Baliya Manege Banane Bandathe
Bagirathage Srigangai Bandathe
Vibhishanage SriRama Bandathe
Vidurane Manage SriKrishna Bandathe
Ninna Namavu Enna
Naligayali Nindhu Salagali Sri Purandara Vitala

You are right. The language is kannada.

The composer is Sri Purandara dAsaru.

I can post the translation but I am not able to help wth the audio.

This is the correct version::

baliya manege vAmana bandante
Bhagirathage Srigange bandante
vibhishanage SriRama bandante
vidurana manege SriKrishna bandante
ninna nAmavu Enna
nAligeyalli nindu salahali SrI purandara vithala

The ankita of Sri Purandara dAsaru:: *purandara vithala*

I will post the translation shortly.

Smt. Savitri - thank you for that lovely translation.

Lekshmi, I think the technical term for these types of compositions in kannaDA is an ugabhOga, just as a similar composition in tamizh would be a viruttam, and one in telugu would be a padyam... they are sung like a AlApana
And the composer of this ugabhOga is Sri purandara dAsaru.

.
“பலிய மனகே வாமன பந்தன்தே”

Without referring to earlier posts, I tried to pronounce the first line as given in Tamil script in the above post. Except for vAmana, I got it all wrong ! I read it like this :-

paliya manake vAmana pantantE

Lesson:
English transliteration is the right option.
